
Swim and Tennis Club Rules and Regulations
General Rules
1. All persons using the pool, tennis courts and nature trails do so at their
own risk. The Club assumes no responsibility for injury or damage resulting
from such use.
2. Members and their guests must sign the registration book located in the
office area upon arrival.
3. For everyone's safety, glass, glass bottles, and glass food containers are
not permitted at any time within the fenced pool and tennis enclosures.
4. No smoking is allowed within fenced pool and tennis enclosures or in the
club buildings.
5. All lounge chairs and tables are to be used on a first-come, first-served
basis. When the pool is busy, lounge chairs are reserved for members over the
age of 16.
6. Toys/Riding devices with wheels, including (but not limited to) bikes and
wagons are NOT permitted ANYWHERE within the fenced pool or tennis enclosure.
7. Audio volume must be kept at a REASONABLE level. (Members are encouraged
to use personal audio devices with headphones or earpieces)
8. NO children under 16 years of age shall be left at the pool without direct
supervision of a responsible person.
9. Adults shall be responsible for children using the baby pool and play area.
10. No pets are allowed within the fenced pool and tennis enclosure.
11. Pet owners are required to clean up after their pets.
12. Every member and guest is expected to cooperate to keep the pool and tennis
premises clean and attractive and free of debris.
13. The club owners reserve the right to suspend any member.
Pool Rules
1. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
2. Pool hours:
Monday, Wednesday thru Saturday 10 AM-8PM
Tuesday Closed
Sunday 12PM-6PM
3. No horse play, dunking, running, boisterous or rough play shall be allowed
in or around the pool, and violators will be subject to discipline by the pool
mangers. Repeated violations shall be grounds for suspension.
4. Swimmers MUST stay off ropes.
5. Infants must wear “swim” diapers in the baby pool or regular
pool. Absolutely NO disposable or cloth diapers are allowed in the baby pool
or the regular pool.
6. No children OVER 6 years old are allowed to swim in the baby pool.
7. Swimmers with hair longer than shoulder length must secure it in a braid,
elastic band or a bathing cap.
8. No food or gum is permitted in the pool area.
9. Parents, are EXPECTED to personally supervise their children. All persons
with children in their care are required to watch, protect, supervise, and
control these children at all times when they are on Club property. < br/>
10. Float and float rings are NOT allowed in the deep portion (9’) of
the pool. Members will be respectful of other members and guests, and not use
floating devices when the pool is crowded.
11. Swim aids and float devices will be removed from the pool area at the
end of the day.
12. Blue Ridge Swim & Tennis is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged
property.
BLUE RIDGE SWIM & TENNIS CLUB
TENNIS COURT RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. TENNIS COURTS ARE FOR USE OF MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS ONLY.
GUESTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A BLUE RIDGE SWIM & TENNIS CLUB MEMBER. MEMBERS
ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE GUEST FEE OF $5.00 AND MARK “GUEST” BY
THE MEMBERS NAME ON THE SIGN UP SHEET. GUEST ONLY PERMITTED TO PLAY 5 TIMES.
2. PLAYERS MUST EXHIBIT PROPER SPORTSMANSHIP AND TENNIS ETIQUETTE. PROFANITY
OR ABUSIVE LANGUAGE IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE COURTS. SMOKING, FOOD OR GLASS CONTAINERS
ARE PROHIBITED INSIDE THE COURT FENCED AREA.
3. PETS, TOYS, ROLLER BLADES, SKATEBOARD OR ANY OTHER NON-TENNIS ACTIVITY IS
STRICTLY FORBIDDEN ON COURTS.
4. TENNIS SHOES AND APPROPRIATE CLOTHING ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES; NO BLACK
SOLE SHOES OR RUNNING SHOES.
5. MEN MUST WEAR SHIRTS AT ALL TIMES.
6. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 USING THE COURTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
7. PLEASE RESPECT THE COURTS AND EQUIPMENT. MEMBERS ARE REPONSIBLE FOR THEIR
CONDUCT AND THE CONDUCT OF THEIR GUESTS.
8. PLAYERS WILL SUPPLY THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT (RACQUETS AND BALLS). EQUIPMENT MAY
BE PURCHASED OR RENTED IN THE PRO SHOP
9. SIGN UP FOR COURT USE IN ADVANCE OF PLAY. PLAYERS DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN UP IN
ADVANCE FOR OPEN COURT BUT MUST SIGN UP BEFORE BEGINNING PLAY. ALL PLAYERS NAMES
NEED TO BE LISTED ON SIGN UP SHEET. ALL TENNIS COURT PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN UP.
FAILURE TO DO THIS MAY RESULT IN A MEMBER GETTING BUMPED OFF BY A PROPERLY REGISTERED
MEMBER.
10. LIMIT PLAY TIME TO ONE AND ONE-HALF (1 ½) HOURS.
11. NO MEMBER MAY PLAY ON RESERVED COURT FOR LONGER THAN ONE AND ONE-HALF (1
1/2) HOURS IF OTHERS ARE WAITING FOR A COURT (NO BACK TO BACK PLAY).
12. PLAYERS FAILING TO SHOW UP WITHIN TEN (10) MINUTES OF THEIR STARTING TIME,
WILL FORFEIT TO A WAITING PLAYER.
13. MAKE SURE ALL TENNIS BALLS, TENNIS CANS, METAL LIDS AND OTHER ITEMS ARE PICKED-UP
AND DISPOSED OF PROPERLY AFTER PLAY.
14. PLEASE KEEP ALL TENNIS COURT GATES CLOSED AT ALL TIMES.
15. TEAM/LEAGUE PLAY WILL OCCUR PERIODICALLY, PLEASE RESPECT THEIR MATCH SCHEDULE.
WE WILL NOTIFY THE MEMBERS OF THE TEAM(S) SCHEDULE(S).
16. THESE RULES APPLY TO ANYONE USING THE COURTS TO INCLUDE PICKLEBALL PLAYERS.
Guests and Fees
1. All guests MUST be accompanied by a member. There is no fee for out of town house guests. Other visiting guests must pay $5 per person when they enter and sign in. If a child is accompanied by a babysitter instead of a parent, the non-member babysitter does not have to pay. However, if a member babysitter brings a non-member child to the pool, a $5 fee must be paid for that child.
